Description

DOMETIC CORP 413 Just press a button to extend your trailer’s awning and enjoy cool shade.

The 9100 Awning extends and retracts with the touch of a button inside your RV. No need to lift the hardware—a real plus on 5th wheels with basement storage. Knee Action design lets the awning fabric and hardware flex in moderate wind to prevent damage, and lets you walk out either end of the awning without having to duck your head. Its contemporary styling offers radius edges for a sleek appearance. The 12-volt motor is tucked inside the roller tube for a clean look and moisture protection. The double-sided reinforced vinyl fabric extends up to 8' and is protected in transit by a Polar White vinyl weathershield. An excellent choice for travel trailers and 5th wheels, the 9100 Power Awning mounts on laminated sidewalls, using flat awning rail. Easy manual operation if power fails. Available in lengths from 10' to 21' with standard or basement Polar White hardware. Mfr. 3 year warranty.

Hello... I am an employee at Camping World and I just wanted to let you all know that if you have an existing 9100 power awning without the rainstrut feature that those update kits are available for free !!! Dometic's part# is 3312508.017B and any Camping World can order it for you !! This will allow you to manually shed rain and also give 24 pitch adjustment for shade control !! Just some beneficial information for all you customers :) Keep shopping and happy camping!!

We purchased a new 2009 Wiildcat. We too were having second thoughts on a power awning. We asked the dealer what happens in the rain. They said it auto dumps. Well it auto dumped alright. We didn't like the fact that you couldn't adjust one side to be lowered. One night it rained when we were having dinner, we went inside to eat, and heard one big crash. Upon opening the door, our power awning was down. It came right off the unit on one side, ripped the material and bent the awning roller. Our RV dealer, did get it replaced for us under warranty. On our new power awning, they have now added a piece on one side that you can adjust to lower it. It worked great this past weekend in the rain. If purchasing, make sure it has an adjustable arm.

9100 A & E Awning - November 02, 2008

I thought the power awning was great, until it rained. Not one drop, and I mean not one drop shed off the awning until it was over full. We woke up one morning to find we had rain overnight. I could hardly open the door to get out to rescue the awning. The arms did not drop to release the water as I was told it would. I carefully swept the water to the sides. The trailer was only a week old and the awning was now streched from the water. I argued with the selling dealer about the function I was told it would do, but was told by them that I was misinformed. Well, if I want it out now I guess I need to raise the trailer tongue up to get the water to drain. I will need seat belts for the bed so we don't roll out. I have since gotten the Pitch adjustment kit from Camping World and it was all free from Dometic. How kind of them. A dealer wants 300.00 to install it. I'll take my chances with the warranty and do it myself. It is a simple part to install. I even noticed that Dometic still hasn't got it right. They want me to install it on the door end of the awning. If it lowers the awning I need it on the other end....... Thanks for the help Camping World. Your Great!
